Commercial mediators act as mediators to assist parties in resolving disputes. Commercial mediators include the ad-hoc Commercial Mediator and the Commercial Mediator of the Commercial Mediation Center. Ad-hoc commercial mediator means a person who registers as an ad-hoc commercial mediator at the Department of Justice where he/she permanently resides (or where he/she temporarily resides for foreigners) according to a statutory procedure. A commercial mediator of a commercial mediation center is a person selected by a certain organization to be a commercial mediator. The commercial mediation organization includes the Commercial Mediation Center and the Arbitration Center and also conducts commercial mediation activities.
